Leather Sun Sandals Workshop

Create a pair of timeless leather sun sandals handcrafted by you.

Join us at Rain Coast Farms for an afternoon of creativity, craftsmanship, and slowing down as you learn the art of making your own custom-fit leather sun sandals. In this hands-on workshop, you'll be guided through each step…from tracing your feet and cutting the leather to assembling and finishing a beautiful pair of minimalist sandals you'll be proud to wear for years to come.

Each pair of sandals will be crafted from high-quality vegetable-tanned cowhide, a traditional leather known for its durability, comfort, and ability to naturally mold to your feet over time. As you wear them, they'll develop a rich patina unique to your adventures.

No previous leatherworking experience is necessary. Whether you're curious about traditional crafts or simply enjoy making things with your hands, this workshop is designed to be approachable, inspiring, and fun.

A Little About Your Instructor

Andrea Womack is an artist, educator, and passionate nature craft teacher who believes creating with our hands reconnects us to ourselves, our ancestors, and the natural world.

For over a decade, Andrea has traveled the country teaching bodywork, nature craft, and transformational workshops while hosting retreats & community gatherings that bring people together through creativity, connection, and hands-on learning. Her work is inspired by traditional skills, time spent living close to the land, and a deep appreciation for craftsmanship that is both beautiful and practical.

Whether guiding someone through crafting herbal remedies, weaving with natural materials, or creating their very first pair of leather sandals, Andrea's passion is helping others rediscover the joy, confidence, and self-reliance that comes from making something with their own hands.

She believes craftsmanship is more than learning a skill….it's an invitation to slow down, become present, and carry a little piece of your own creativity wherever life takes you.
